is a group of grad students that are eager to further awareness of culture between China and the United States. With the advance of technology available over the internet, their interest is in communicating daily life and social activity through streamed video documentaries. They also intend on experimenting with broadcasting, web conferencing, and other growing technologies as they are being developed. Although their ideal is to have an equivalent exchange between the two cultures, it is difficult being based in the United States. They genuinely hope you will benefit and contribute to the site to further its evolvement.

Karen was born and raised in the United States. Having traveled and lived across America, she has experienced both the diverse cultures of San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Boston, as well as lived amongst those who have very limited exposure to foriegners. Her parents both came to the US, from China, at a relatively young age, thus, placing her family in neutral territory, being neither wholly Americanized or traditional Chinese. This is very typical of many of this generation. They have but a taste of authentic Chinese life. Karen has always desired to gain more understanding of life in China. From a brief visit she made in summer of '98, it was very different from what she imagined it to be and those she talked to seemed to share an equally distorted view of America. She sincerely hopes to both gain and create better understanding between the cultures through this project. Karen graduated with a degree in Architecure from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1997. She has a love for graphic design and decided to join the quickly expanding world of multimedia in 1998.
